AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

a) The association shall be non –political & non profitable organization with sole purpose of bringing over all development and promotion of paragliding in Sikkim.
b) To encourage sport, promote, market, publicise paragliding and other aero sports.
c) To work for the benefit and development of the people through paragliding as tourism activities.
d) To provide correct information to the visitors through brochures. Slideshow , web-site and other visual and print media on the paragliding sport
e) To hold competition, exhibitions, trainings and other paragliding related activities. ( State, National and International Level)
f) To organize mass awareness the adventure spots based on paragliding throughout the state of Sikkim.
g) To work in unison with various Government, Trade association and NGOS for the promotion of paragliding Sikkim
h) To undertaking the publication of promotional materials such as pamphlets, brochures, books and create promotional material through visuals such as documentaries for the development of paragliding in Sikkim
i) To organize conventions, meting, conference, seminars and other events with a view to developed the sharing of information and experiences amongst the adventure lovers.
j) To creates emplacement opportunity for the local people through paragliding.
k) To work for the welfare of paragliding pilots
l) To encourage domestic and international tourist to take up paragliding in Sikkim
m) To make a committee for the selection of pilots for state, national and International Championship.
n) To safeguard the places, monuments landscape near the paragliding site. o) To co-operate and collaborated with outside development committee on equal footing basic to achieve the common goal of promotions of adventure spots in Sikkim.
p) To raise fund through membership, voluntary works, skill development and capacity building trainings and other sources to sustain the association.
q) To acquire land, building for the use of association for social exhibitions, events, trainings ,conferences and meetings.
r) To hold skill and capacities building training amongst the adventure seekers and Sikkimese youth to take up paragliding sport for employment opportunities
s) To establish information centre.
t) To establish hiring and renting out let.
u) To apply for associate membership of state, national and international bodies
v) To establish office complex, acquire and for establishment of capacity building training and other related activities in aero sports.
w) To acquire on lease guest houses, parks, office, complex, way side amenities, related infrastructures for the management, proper upkeep, maintenance and used
x) To create a committee for cross check of all commercial activity of paragliding agency and company in the state.
y) To create SPA the only agency who will provide permission for the visiting Tendem Pilots and Solo Pilots
z) Any new agency/ organisation/ association has to take NOC from the Sikkim Paragliding Association to maintain the quality and standard of paragliding sports in the state of Sikkim.

aa) To make compulsory for the insurance of pilot and equipments.
bb) To create Technical Committe in the Association (for Site Verification and deposit reports and proposal to the government department and private organizations and agencies and cpnduct all test of equipment and gears with pilot skills and certifications)
cc) To adher and work according to the guidelines of the SPA.
dd) To train and certify commercial pilots
ee)To train Solo and Tendem pilots about First Aid and Emergency rescue operation the certificate is must for all pilots.
ff) To uphold and maintain the rules and regulations and code of conduct of the association and to take disciplinary action as and when necessary, for any infringement and discipline.
